Disneyland Area Hotels Review

IMG_2522Disneyland and California Adventure seem to have turned into an annual trip for me and my husband! We love it so much and always have the BEST time, so we just keep going back!

On our last three trips, we have stayed at three different hotels, so I thought I’d share a bit about them! I think my hardest decision for each trip is deciding where we stay. So let’s dive into the three that I’ve chosen in the past.

There are two Springhill Suites properties in the Disneyland Resort area. This is the one to the northwest of the parks on West Ball Road, not the one at the convention center.

This hotel is quite new and absolutely beautiful! Our room was Continue reading

Starting Your Day at Disneyland

Disneyland may be the happiest place on earth, but it can also be one of the busiest places on earth! Learning to use your time wisely and going in prepared can make all the difference between a super fun day and a stressful day.

When my husband and I visit the parks, our goal is to maximize our time so that we can get as much done as possible during the day – rides, shows, food, and all the other fun things Disneyland has to offer. We’ve learned lots of tricks along the way to make that happen, but I think that my best suggestion is this: start your day out right!

Yes, that means that we get up early, even on our vacation. But it’s SO WORTH it! Mornings are the slowest the parks are going to be all day, so Continue reading

Disneyland & Oils

It’s probably no secret by now that Disneyland is my happy place! My husband and I have had the opportunity to visit for the past 3 years, and each trip just gets better and better! I’ve learned more about the parks, getting on rides efficiently, and just having a FUN time.

Of course, one of the most important parts of having fun is feeling good! Between traveling (we fly), tons of walking, early mornings, late nights, junk food, and well, just being on vacation, it can be a lot on our bodies. But it’s worth it and so much fun!

The title of the post gives it away, but one of my favorite tools for making sure that we feel our best on vacation are oils – plus various oily products. And guess what? We made it to Disneyland and back (7 days total) COMPLETELY above the wellness line. Love it! Here’s a quick list of what I used Continue reading

World of Color Dessert Party

This review has been a long time coming, because the World of Color Dessert Party was one of the highlights of our trip to Disneyland Resort last December! Christmas at the parks is already so special, but going to this “extra” was such a neat addition to our vacation! It will always be a favorite memory.

I might as well start out by saying that everyone should do the Dessert Party at least once! I’ll be the first to admit that it’s not the cheapest thing in the world, but the experience is SO FUN!

For those who don’t know, The World of Color is Continue reading

Getaway Today: Disneyland

Planning a trip to Disneyland and California Adventure is always fun and exciting, whether it’s your first time visiting or your fifteenth! When planning, I’m the person who meticulously researches hotels, the best time to visit, pricing, airfare and all the other details. I want our trip to be enjoyable, but as affordable as I can make it, too!

We’ve stayed at different hotels over the years and have visited the parks for different numbers of days, and I’ve always booked our ticket & hotel package through GETAWAY TODAY. I feel like I do a fair amount of research, and they consistently end up being a GREAT deal!

They offer park hopper (Disneyland and California Adventure on the same day) tickets for up to 5 days, and work with lots of different hotels in the Disneyland area, including the Disneyland Resort hotels, themselves! It’s really nice having lots of hotel choices at different price points.

Another advantage Continue reading

When is the Best Time to Visit Disneyland?

Disneyland is my FAVORITE place EVER! There’s just something about it that makes me HAPPY!

I’ve visited several times over the years – during spring, summer, and winter. I still haven’t made it for the fall season, but I’ll get there one of these days!

When planning a trip to Disneyland, one of your biggest decisions is what time of year to go. Any time at Disneyland and California Adventure is going to be FUN, but there are variables to consider when you’re making your decision.

The Crowds

Most importantly, weekdays are going to be less busy than weekends! On our last trip, we made a mistake by being in the park on a Friday through a Monday. Oops! From now on we plan to visit during weekdays!

Disneyland is always busy, but some times are MUCH busier than others – think Fourth of July,  Christmas break, New Year’s, spring break, etc. Any time there is a holiday or school break, Continue reading
